This was not a smooth resignation.
I understand more that sometimes you just have to ignore other comments and stick to your own call.
So far in my life I have came across many "successful" mentors, giving me sincere advice from their own experience.
Some think working in big banks limit their exposure, and so they switch to small banks.
Some think they have to keep challenged and seize opportunities, so they take up new roles.
Some think the relationships and reputations built in a company is invaluable asset, so they stayed and patiently waited.
All of them are respectable and successful people by social standard. After gathering a mixed opinion which way is best for me?
For me career is only part of life. At the end of the day I am the only person to be responsible for my own choice. I am writing it down because I am not any braver than others to make such choice. Fear creep into me all the time and my best way is to face it, prepare for it rather than avoiding it.
Can't we just make this simple? Worries are so annoying but it always comes with the good thing: Change.
